The seven recipients of the 2025-26 Faculty Excellence Awards were announced during the annual Faculty Honors Convocation.
Following years of consistent success on the international stage, all seven of the school district’s OM teams have once again advanced through state competitions and are charting a course for the World Finals in late-May.
The three-day educational conference hosted over 3,000 attendees, including students, educators, administrators, and community leaders from across Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Both players were selected for the first time in their collegiate careers, and it is the first time the program has produced multiple selections in a single year.
The event will feature a story time, game, drinks, and a supper.
The JHS Amnesty International club recently returned from Amnesty International USA’s hybrid Human Rights Conference and Annual General Meeting 2026 and Youth Lobby Day.
Two workshops, titled “Oral History, Folklife, and Heritage Sites” will be offered during the four-day conference.
“Match Day is our favorite day of the year because it’s the culmination of a tremendous amount of work by our students, faculty and staff,” said Shane Speights, D.O., dean of NYITCOM at A-State.
“Create@State: A Symposium of Research, Scholarship & Creativity” will take place Thursday, April 16, in the Carl R. Reng Student Union.
A NASA astronaut will be coming to speak to the Jonesboro community at the Valley View School District in June.
