Both groups invite Arkansas State alumni and their families to the Carl R. Reng Student Union from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 11, for a chance to reunite with old classmates and meet new students while learning about important A-State philanthropies.
This marks the eighth year of the recognition program honoring Arkansas State’s outstanding young alumni.

Samantha Hammaker, a junior psychology major from Cabot, was one of five students from across the country selected for the fellowship.
Over the summer, work was completed on the clock tower of Dean B. Ellis Library to repair not only the hands of one of four clocks, but also the bells so they would once again ring.
“Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you,” the Arkansas Imagination Library said.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation has launched Phase Two of its award-winning children’s road safety education program, known as Street Smart.
The annual celebration will include a mayoral proclamation and school pep rally, a community decorating contest, the Great A-State Block Party in downtown Jonesboro, and more.
Participation in the summit was offered as an opportunity to connect with colleagues across campus and to explore innovative, effective classroom practices.
This year’s Pre-Summit and Regional competitions feature challenges ranging from cooking wild game and quiz bowls, to debate and designing nature center exhibits, magazine spreads and action plans focused on improving their school’s conservation footprint.
