Craighead County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Some Craighead County schools and organizations are offering free summer feeding programs for eligible children. JRN has compiled a list of these programs.
Not all schools offer a summer feeding program. To see a map of feeding programs near you, click here. In addition, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas has a map of food pantries, allowing you to see which ones are closest. To view the map, click here. This list will be updated as JRN learns of more feeding programs.

Additionally, summer electronic benefits transfer, or Summer EBT, provides a one-time $120 grocery buying benefit per eligible child. These funds are stored in a pre-loaded card and can be used in conjunction with summer feeding programs, SNAP, and WIC. For more information, click here.
Bay School District
- Open to: All children aged 18 or younger
- Offering: Breakfast and lunch
- Where to Go on Campus: This feeding program distributes meals via a drive-thru system. A map of the drive-thru route is available here.
- Additional Details: The drive-thru pickup opens every Thursday at 5 p.m. Registration is required to receive meals; click here to sign up.

Jonesboro Public Schools
- Open to: All children aged 18 or younger
- Offering: Breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, with the exception of June 29-July 3
- Where to Go on Campus: Jonesboro High School, located at 301 Hurricane Drive; Annie Camp Junior High, located at 1814 Nettleton Ave.; or Leadership Elementary, located at 1110 W. Washington Ave.
- Additional Details: Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adult meals are available for purchase, with breakfast costing $3 and lunch costing $5.50. Meals will be offered at the high school from May 27-July 29, at the junior high from May 27-June 26, and at the elementary from July 6-July 29. No sign-up is required, and all meals must be eaten on site.
Nettleton Public Schools
- Open to: All children aged 18 or younger
- Offering: Breakfast and lunch from June 1 to July 31
- Where to Go on Campus: STEAM Intermediate, located at 2219 Thorn St.; or Nettleton High School, located at 3201 Chieftain Lane
- Additional Details: At STEAM Intermediate, breakfast is served Monday to Thursday at 8 a.m., and lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. At the high school, breakfast is served from Monday through Thursday 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m., and lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No registration is required to receive a meal.
Pasmore Summer Feeding Program
- Open to: Anyone
- Offering: Free lunch from May 27 to Aug. 8
- Where to Go: Fisher Street United Methodist Church, located at 301 N. Fisher St.
- Additional Details: The program runs throughout the summer, Wednesday to Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or until food runs out. Meals are limited to one lunch per person in the car and are pickup only.
Westside Consolidated School District
- Open to: All children aged 18 or younger
- Offering: Breakfast and lunch from June 1 to July 30. Meals can be eaten on campus, with breakfast served from 8-9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., or participants can choose to pick up 5-day to-go meals.
- Where to Go on Campus: Westside Middle School, located at 1800 Highway 91 West
- Additional Details: Meal pickups will take place every Monday from June 8 to July 27, except on Monday, July 6. That week’s pickup will take place July 7. Participants must sign up each week for to-go meals, and all children must be included on one form. Find the form here.
Whole Youth Services at the City of Bono
- Open to: All children aged 18 or younger
- Offering: Breakfast, lunch and snacks to last three days
- Where to Go: Bono Community Building, located at 100 Woodland Trails
- Additional Details: Whole Youth Services will be at the community building every Monday and Thursday through the summer. Meals are grab-and-go. Breakfast pickup is from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., and dinner pickup is from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Parents can pick up meals and can sign up on-site or call 870-203-0995.
Whole Youth Services at the City of Jonesboro
- Open to: All children aged 18 or younger
- Offering: Breakfast and lunch
- Where to Go: Caraway Commons, located at 3308 Caraway Road; Cedar Heights, located at 2009 Cedar Heights; NEA Computer Lab, 601 Marshall St.; Success Schools, located at 613 N. Fisher St.; The Ridge, located at 1001 N. Patrick St.; Whole Youth Services, located at 1700 E. Johnson Ave.
- Additional Details: Breakfast is served from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and dinner is served from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
