A Poinsett County District Court judge has charged Conrad Everett Paul Clouse, 29, with Felony Rape.

The Sheriff’s office received a tip from the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline on November 30, 2023 that the juvenile victim had received a text from Clouse, according to a redacted arrest warrant obtained by JonesboroRightNow. The message offered to purchase “vapes” in exchange for inappropriate pictures of multiple children, the age and gender of which have been protected.

An investigation ensued, including a forensic interview with the victim conducted by the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division at the NEA Child Advocacy Center in Jonesboro, the warrant said.

Clouse was found to have relocated to Ohio in an attempt to evade law enforcement. Poinsett County Detective Brad Felkins coordinated with Ohio authorities for assistance in locating and interviewing Clouse. Initially denying the accusations, Clouse eventually confessed to certain acts, according to the arrest warrant, leading to the court finding probable cause for one count of forcible Rape, a Class Y Felony.

Clouse is currently held on a $250,000 cash or pro bond at the Poinsett County Detention Center with a court date of April 29, 2024.
