Jonesboro, AR – Contributed – Arkansas State shortstop Patrick Engskov has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Atlanta Braves.

A mainstay in the Red Wolves’ lineup over the last two seasons, Engskov’s 2026 season helped to propel A-State to the most wins since 2016.

The senior slashed .269/.352/.500 with 56 total hits, 42 runs, and 39 RBIs, hitting 13 doubles, one triple, and 11 home runs. Engskov also finished second on the team in stolen bases, nabbing 11 on 13 tries.

The Little Rock, Arkansas native spent two seasons at Oklahoma before returning to his home state. Engskov started in all 106 games in his two seasons in the scarlet and black, and finished his Red Wolf career with a .970 fielding percentage while turning 60 total double plays.
