
In preparation for the forecasted snowstorm, the City of Jonesboro has implemented inclement weather procedures, with involvement from the Streets Department, Police and Fire Departments, Salvation Army and more.

The Jonesboro Street Department has been preparing all week for the upcoming wintery weather. “We’ll work on them until the snowstorm stops,” said Jonesboro Street Director Steve Tippitt.

The $84 million operating budget for the City of Jonesboro passed the City Council on Tuesday.

The City of Jonesboro on Wednesday held a public meeting to provide information as it seeks $5 million in RAISE Planning Grant Funding.

“This is the first step in that park to make it all-inclusive,” Danny Kapales said. “People with all different needs can get on the playground.”
