The Craighead County Veterans Service Office is temporarily closing and moving to a new location due to renovations on the bottom floor of the Craighead County Courthouse.

The 2025 legislative session began Monday, and Jonesboro Right Now has compiled a list of all bills and resolutions filed and prefiled by lawmakers representing Jonesboro and Craighead County.

95th General Assembly will focus on education, maternal health, public safety and prisons and tax policy.

The City of Jonesboro has been awarded a $1.5 million grant from the Federal Railroad Administration to study all 18 at-grade rail crossings located within the city.

Even though JET is closing early, this will not affect those needing transportation to the daytime and overnight warming shelters. The Jonesboro Police Department will be providing rides to the warming shelters.

With snow blanketing Jonesboro, several local entities have announced closures and are rescheduling events.

Governmental offices for both the City of Jonesboro and Craighead County are closed today due to the wintry weather, and JETS will be operating under limited hours.
