Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A new social club for young adults in Jonesboro and surrounding areas is aiming to help form lifelong connections.
Abbie Freligh and Noelle Calico, founders of Boro Bound, said the inspiration for the group came from wanting to create an outlet for people to have fun and meet others in the area.
“The purpose of Boro Bound is to bring young adults in the area together for community events, boosting each other’s talents, fun experiences, and new friends,” Freligh said.
The club plans to have at least one event per month and wants to expand into volunteer activities and other community outings.
“We want to do things that bring like-minded fun individuals together to do things they like or that may be out of their comfort zone,” Calico said.

After gathering friends and finding other people interested through social media, the duo got with Anya Setzler, co-owner of Coin Goblin Gamers Lounge, to come up with ideas for their first event: a “Trick or Treat” inspired gaming event at the Southwest Drive location held Sept. 4.

“I have actually worked for Coin Goblin for a couple of months now as their Instagram manager, and my entire family and so many of my friends love going there,” Freligh said. “I knew exactly who to reach out to because I knew there would be something there for everyone.”
Calico echoed Freligh’s statement, expressing gratitude to Coin Goblin.
“We are very close to the owner, and we are so appreciative they let us use their space,” Calico said.
At the event, attendees were invited to play any of the gaming consoles free of charge and treated to free Halloween-inspired drinks from Fizzle Up.
To go with the Trick or Treat theme, guests were asked to bring their own treats to share and were welcomed to get their face painted. At the end of the night, attendees came together for several karaoke rounds.
Setzler said she is happy Coin Goblin got to host Boro Bound’s first event and is looking forward to the future of the club.
“I’m excited for all of the upcoming events and for everyone to continue growing closer. We’ve already made so many new friendships, and I’m excited to see where Boro Bound goes from here,” Setzlet said.
The next official Boro Bound event, a Friendsgiving, will be hosted Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Something Art Cafe at 211 S. Main St.
