Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Representative Jack Ladyman has been named a Nuclear State Champion.

The recognition was awarded by Nuclear Matters, a national organization that advocates for nuclear energy, in partnership with the Nuclear Energy Institute, a global organization that advocates for policies that benefit nuclear power. It has been awarded to more than 150 state leaders across 40 states.

Ladyman is a Republican representing District 32 in the Arkansas House of Representatives, which includes Jonesboro. Two other Arkansas legislators earned the recognition: Sen. Matt McKee (R-District 6) and Rep. Rick Beck (R-District 43).

The award recognizes state leaders who advocate for and drive progress for nuclear energy in their communities. Winners are selected based on various criteria, including their influence on nuclear policy outcomes and their efforts to educate constituents about nuclear power.

“I am very honored to be chosen as a Nuclear State Champion for Arkansas.  Especially since the recognition is from [the Nuclear Energy Institute],” Ladyman said. “The Nuclear Energy Institute is an organization of energy producers in the US.  The CEO of Entergy is the current president.  This is not a government organization.  It is a great honor to be chosen by the ‘boots on the ground’ people who actually do the work.”
