Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Finding a new best friend often starts right in our own backyard, and bringing a rescue pet into your home brings unmatched reward.
Each week, Jonesboro Right Now teams up with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society (NEAHS) to feature local pets available for adoption.
In this week’s spotlight, we have the playful and curious Steve and the affectionate and friendly Waffles, both just waiting to find furever home. Here are the Jonesboro Right Now Pets of the Week:
Steve: Playful and Curious

Steve is a 10-week-old, male domestic short hair tabby, who’s been in the shelter for four weeks. He came to us from Animal Medical Center who had been caring for him but recognized that he needed other kittens to bond with.
Steve is friendly with people, too, and since he’s so playful and curious, he’ll make someone a very fun pet! He’s up to date on vaccines and will be neutered and microchipped before going to his furever home.

Waffles: Affectionate and Friendly

Waffles is a two-year-old, large breed female who’s also been in the shelter a little under a month. She’s affectionate and friendly and good with other dogs. She’s also up to date on vaccines and preventatives and is heartworm negative.
Before adoption, she’ll be spayed and microchipped, and Waffles is such a good girl, that we’re thinking that’ll be sooner rather than later!
