A Florida man is facing a felony theft charge after police said he pocketed $60,000 meant for a Jonesboro road project and vanished without starting the work.
Jonesboro police arrested a man after they said they found evidence of him selling drugs, including fentanyl. He was also found to be in possession of a handgun.
The purpose of this project is to improve connectivity, pedestrian and bicyclist safety, and stormwater drainage.
Due to recent rainfall, the ban is lifted effective Friday, April 24, 2026.
