Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 5, 2024 – A Jonesboro man is sitting behind bars after a judge set his bond at $500,000.

Octavious Donnell Lloyd, 27, was arrested Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Red Wolf Boulevard and Johnson Avenue following a traffic stop, according to a Jonesboro police report.

After the traffic stop, officers searched Lloyd’s vehicle and found 40 grams of marijuana, digital scales, and a 9 mm Canik handgun.

District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge Lloyd with simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, a class Y felony, possession of a firearm by a certain person, a class B felony, possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver, a class D felony, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and use of a communication device, a class C felony.

Lloyd’s next court date is July 29 in Craighead County Circuit Court.
