Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – May 6, 2024 – A Blytheville man is being held on a $50,000 bond after District Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge him with shooting at a victim Saturday morning in the 900 block of Links Circle.
Jamal Obryann Carter, 22, is accused of firing a gun at a 26-year-old victim who lives on Links Circle.
According to a probable cause affidavit, a witness dropped off the victim in Links Circle, where the victim got into an altercation with several people at 3 a.m. The witness said Carter fired a shot at the victim.
When police talked to Carter, he said he did fire a gunshot at the victim after the victim struck him in the face. Police recovered the firearm.
Carter is charged with criminal attempt, a class C felony and misdemeanor third-degree battery and discharging firearm within the city limits.
Boling set his bond at $50,000 and his next court date is June 28 in Craighead County Circuit Court.
