Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — June 23, 2025 — A heat advisory for Jonesboro and greater Northeast Arkansas continues into this week, with heat indexes forecasted to exceed 105 degrees.

“Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors,” the NWS said. “We are 4 days in with potentially 3-4 more days of oppressive heat. Little relief is expected at night as lows hover in the upper 70s.”
The NWS indicated on Monday that Jonesboro is facing a “major heat risk,” meaning anyone without effective cooling or adequate hydration will be affected.
This week in Jonesboro, high temperatures hover in the mid-90s with lows in the mid to upper 70s. A 20 percent chance of rain is forecasted on Tuesday and then again on Sunday.
