Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – March 28, 2025 – Arkansas residents are being warned about the possibility of severe weather this coming Sunday, March 30.

This warning comes on the heels of a 20+ tornado outbreak that occurred in the state just two weeks ago.

National Weather Service forecasters believe severe thunderstorms will fire up across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas early Sunday afternoon. The thunderstorms will move to the east and southeast across the state.

Atmospheric conditions in east Arkansas are predicted to be very unstable by Sunday afternoon, giving forecasters reason to believe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds and possibly long-track tornadoes will be possible.

As of Friday afternoon, the best guess for the window for severe weather in northeast Arkansas will be sometime between 4 p.m. and midnight.
