Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – March 20, 2025 – The Jonesboro Media Group, which includes JonesboroRightNow.com and radio stations 104.9 The Fox, 100.5 The Eagle, Mix 106.3, Hot 107.5, EZ 92.7 and 98.5 The Outlaw, will serve a free meal to storm victims, clean-up volunteers, first responders and others affected by the tornadoes last weekend.
JMG will set-up Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the middle of the tornado damage path in neighboring Paragould.
“We are taking our locally famous BFG grill system to the Pruett’s Chapel Methodist Church parking lot,” said Trey Stafford, President/General Manager of the Jonesboro Media Group. “We will serve all-beef hot dogs, assorted chips, and Pepsi products as long as they last.”
Stafford said he had spoken with Jeanie Wallace, a member of the Pruett’s Chapel church. Wallace and other church members have been coordinating some of the food service to victims and volunteers in that area. “We will set-up in the church parking lot and, if necessary, we’ll load up hot dogs, chips and Pepsi and deliver to some of the families.”
On Friday the media group will partner with KAIT and serve food to victims and volunteers in Jacksonport, Diaz and Campbell’s Station in Jackson County. The area was struck by an EF-4 tornado Friday night.
“We are working with Don Ivie, the Jackson County Emergency Manager,” said Hatton Weeks, KAIT Vice President/General Manager. “Like many other Region 8 communities, Jackson County was hard hit by this past weekend’s storms.”
Friday’s event will take place at the Diaz City Hall, which has been set-up as the command center for storm clean-up. The meals will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Personalities and staff from both the Jonesboro Media Group and KAIT will assist with the effort on both afternoons.
