Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Nov. 20, 2024 – A Brookland man choked and hit a woman while robbing her home over the weekend, police said.

On Nov. 17, Jonesboro police responded to a call about a residential burglary at a home on Thomas Avenue. Marlon Tramble, 35, reportedly entered a woman’s home and began attacking her and another male victim who was with her. The male victim had scratches and bruising on his neck from Tramble’s attacks. The woman and Tramble used to be in a romantic relationship, according to the probable cause affidavit.

The woman told officers Tramble hit her in the head and choked her.

When officers arrived on scene, they saw Tramble fighting with another group of people. When officers attempted to break up the fight, Tramble reportedly walked away. Officers later found him walking near Madison Street and College Avenue, about a block away from the victim’s home, where he was taken into custody.

Tramble is charged with one count of aggravated residential burglary, one count of third degree battery and one count of second degree assault on a family or household member.

He was given a $250,000 cash or surety bond and a court date of Jan. 24, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. Conditions of the bond are a no-contact order with the victims and an ankle monitor. Tramble is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center.
