Are you eager to dive into the fast-paced world of online news reporting? JonesboroRightNow, Jonesboro’s new online news source, is seeking an enthusiastic summer intern to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital journalism and contribute to a growing online news platform.
Position: Summer Intern
Responsibilities:
Write engaging news stories on a variety of topics for our online platform.
Attend local events, press conferences, and other relevant happenings to cover stories and gather information.
Conduct occasional interviews with key figures, experts, and community members.
Assist with research, fact-checking, and content creation as needed.
Collaborate with editors and other team members to ensure the highest quality of journalism.
Write and post occasional social media content on Facebook and Instagram.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a journalism, communications, or related program.
Strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with digital media platforms and social media tools.
Previous experience in journalism or writing is a plus, but not required.
