Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 4, 2024 – According to ARDOT Officials, the construction on the Highway 1 bridge across Higginbottom Creek is “way ahead of schedule.”
Crews have replaced all the decking across the bridge, and are finishing replacement of the guardrail today (Tuesday, June 4).
The entire span of Highway 1 was scheduled to be closed from the Bypass to Harrisburg Road from Sunday, June 2 through Sunday, June 9. With construction moving along so quickly, officials said the road could be back open as early as tomorrow (Wednesday, June 5).
