A 15-year-old Jonesboro artist is trying to spread kindness by opening his first blessing box.
“Nothing says ‘please look at me’ like a giant skeleton sticking out the top of an orange Jeep.”
“If they’re closing Main Street for it to be safe, until the building is fixed…the building hasn’t been fixed in decades. So, that means Main Street would be closed for decades?”
“Just look for the giant American flag and make checks payable to the United Cajun Navy,” he said. “Everything will be going to the relief effort.”
To promote the vehicles, JET will take a trolley to local groups such as classrooms, congregations, civic groups and more as they become available.
“Breaking Bonds helped me find who I was. They helped me find who I was in Christ. They helped me get a foundation in my life and helped me restore my family.”
“When people come here, they talk about how clean it is, how nice the people are and how safe they feel. Those are things that we work on every day to make better.”
For almost a year, the Promise House residents have learned to grow and succeed through transitional living and powerful faith.
“It is a hard job that has many challenges, but it is also rewarding. We’re a little bit older, a little bit wiser, but no matter how we came to get our grandkids, a lot of us faced just the same situations.”
Jonesboro is often associated with a significant moment in disc golf history.
