St. Bernards Regional Medical Center
Looking for world-class healthcare in your own backyard? Put your confidence in St. Bernards Healthcare—northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri’s premier provider. Our mission is to provide Christ-like healing to the community through education, treatment and health services. We’ve grown a lot since our start in 1900, and our community has too.
An independent, non-profit, Catholic healthcare system, St. Bernards was founded and is still sponsored by the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters in Jonesboro. Our flagship hospital, St. Bernards Medical Center, opened its doors as a six-room house hospital in 1900, remaining in the heart of Jonesboro since. It now serves as the largest referral center in eastern Arkansas and southeastern Missouri. The hospital provides a 457-bed acute care setting, complete with the region’s most capable Level III Trauma Center and largest neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
St. Bernards has over 100 locations, 4,700 team members and 625,000 patients. We invest in advanced technology and offer the full spectrum of medical services, including cancer care, heart and vascular care, primary care, emergency services, senior services, women’s services, pediatrics, surgical services, behavioral healthcare, virtual care and more. We’re the official healthcare provider for A-State Athletics. St. Bernards Healthcare follows the USCCB Ethical & Religious Directives for Health Care Services.
