The director of the Craighead County/Jonesboro Public Library, Vanessa Adams, issued a statement Thursday morning regarding the results of the library millage.
Early voting for the Jonesboro mayoral race begins Nov. 26. Voters can also vote in various locations on Dec. 3 across Jonesboro.
“It was not what we wanted, but the people’s will is what’s important. We have to fix problems and I hope the other two paid enough attention.”
Cheers erupted from L.J. Bryant supporters when he took the stage at his watch party Tuesday night at the Huntington Lounge as unofficial election results were announced.
“I’ll approach it (the runoff) in the same way that I do mayor. I’ll wake up tomorrow, I’ll look forward and progress toward what we need to do to become mayor for the next four years.”
Republican incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan has won the State Senate District 20 seat by over 6,000 votes.
