The City of Jonesboro received a $500,000 grant from the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) that will retrofit the Marion Berry Parkway overpass with more pedestrian and cyclist accommodations.
“It’s humbling from a community that I love so much,” Copenhaver said. “I must say it was a lot more stressful than I ever anticipated, but it’s well worth the outcome.”

The Public Works Council meeting originally scheduled for today at 5 p.m. and the City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. were moved to Thursday at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively.

The Quorum Court approved an ordinance on Monday allocating over $144,000 for a new generator for the Craighead County Road Department.
