Jonesboro police have taken a person of interest into custody regarding a suspicious death Wednesday morning.
An Annie Camp Junior High School student was arrested Monday after reportedly bringing a gun to school. The student said he had no intentions of using it on anyone.
They yelled at her to put it in park but she didn’t, and her vehicle collided with the patrol car.
During the struggle, he reportedly attacked her and began dragging her around the residence by her shirt and arms
During a traffic stop, Jonesboro police found meth, fentanyl and marijuana in the car with the women.
Marijuana and a weapon were found during a traffic stop on Johnson.
Jonesboro police recently responded to an address on North Main involving a woman who didn’t want her car to be towed.
The driver ran a red light and several stop signs, passing other vehicles in no-passing zones, all while driving at unsafe speeds. The pursuit ended when the vehicle got stuck in a field.
Grant funds will be used to purchase new, in-vehicle laptops, printers, and scanners for the traffic division of the Jonesboro Police Department. Additionally, funding will assist in improving the department’s fitness facility.
The Poinsett County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest related to the shooting incident involving Judge Ron Hunter.
