Two Jonesboro men were arrested and ticketed in separate traffic stops
A 14-year-old stabbed a 42-year-old man in the arm with a decorative bull horn on Dec. 28, police said.
The man told firefighters at the scene that he’d just gotten out of rehab and that he’d been drinking before the crash.
Two people who were supposed to be working at the high school were arrested.
Police were recently called to the Harps Grocery Store in Brookland regarding an employee who was threatening others. Store employees said she had become “dark” and “standoffish” recently.
The woman was allegedly selling drugs close to an elementary school.
The murder charges against Anthony Barnes were dropped after the deputy prosecutor and police said they felt they did not have enough evidence to charge him.
Anthony David Barnes, 63, is accused of murdering 52-year-old Brian Glen Presley. According to the incident report, Presley was found with “multiple injuries to the entirety of [his] body.”

A Jonesboro man was charged with his fourth DWI, causing Judge Tommy Fowler to give him a $10,000 cash-only bond. The judge considered the man to be a “danger to the public.”
