The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library announced an upcoming live performance as part of its 2026 Concert Series featuring country duo Lan Law.
For Ashton Haywood, a middle school pact to attend Arkansas State University didn’t just lead to a college degree–it sparked a commitment to Northeast Arkansas, propelling the Nettleton educator all the way to the Mrs. America stage to fight for her students.
The Public Services Council Committee on Tuesday forwarded a resolution regarding a land use agreement with the planned Northeast Arkansas Children’s Museum.
It was a mixture of Major League Baseball history and local community support Monday night as 2006 World Series MVP David Eckstein and author/entrepreneur Ashley Eckstein visited Jonesboro.
“Fifty years of anything is a big deal,” said Bay Harvest Festival co-chairwoman Tami Hamilton Williams. “Our community looks forward to this every year. Everybody gets together, takes the time to fellowship with each other.”
“This lab is equipped with technology and resources that will allow students and faculty to move from an idea to a tangible prototype, from a sketch to an immersive experience,” said Dr. Jake Qualls during the ceremony.
Library Card Sign-Up Month is an opportunity for community members to discover the many resources, programs, services, and experiences available through the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library.
The Sunken Lands Songwriting Circle concert, planned for Saturday, Sept. 19, is cancelled.
“The purpose of Boro Bound is to bring young adults in the area together for community events, boosting each other’s talents, fun experiences, and new friends,” co-founder Abbie Freligh said.
The Foundation of Arts’ Stage, Too venue has announced several free events and shows scheduled throughout September.
