
Several events for Black History Month have been announced as Jonesboro residents prepare to celebrate. Jonesboro Right Now has compiled a list of local Black History Month events for those wishing to join the celebration.

The 2025 Delta National Small Prints Exhibition (DNSPE) opened Thursday at Arkansas State University’s Bradbury Art Museum (BAM) with a public reception held for artists and guests from the community.

Philosopher Dr. Jeffrey Carroll, assistant professor in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University, will present at the next Lecture-Concert event with his presentation “Go Fast and Break Things.”

Jonesboro residents gathered Tuesday night to hear about the future of the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Trail and give their thoughts on an art project to be installed along the way.

Arkansas State University was the home of many Martin Luther King Day celebrations, including high school band performances, song and dance routines from local groups, and a keynote speaker presentation.

The theme for the 23rd annual celebration was “Mission Possible: Protecting Freedom, Justice & Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence.”

The annual Delta National Small Prints Exhibition (DNSPE) will open at 5 p.m. on Jan. 23.

The Foundation of Arts is selling tickets for its spring show “Secret Garden” to be performed at the Forum Theater.
