Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — July 25, 2025 — A series of live musical performances by local musicians will be coming to the Craighead Forest Park Band Shell as PromoShere hosts Sunset Sessions every Saturday in August.
PromoSphere founder Luke Miller said he started the agency in May after seeing a need in the community for local artists and live music enthusiasts to utilize the Band Shell at Craighead Forest Park.
“Jonesboro has a lot of really talented musicians and bands that I feel like need more of a venue to showcase that talent,” Miller said. “This is the beginning. I booked three bands for each Saturday in August. The shows start at 6 p.m. These are all local artists and bands they have agreed to play on a tip-jar situation. So, the events are free to enjoy.”
Sunset Sessions merchandise, which includes stickers, guitar picks and drumsticks, will be on sale to help grow this into a long-term event.
“I am super excited to get to meet these great artists and look forward to showcasing them. I am available to do this for as long as we have people showing up and having a good time,” he said.
According to Miller, PromoSphere’s main goal is to spotlight local talent. He would eventually like to have a music hall to bring bands in from other cities and create a venue for live music.
While he believes Jonesboro has a good foundation for the arts, Miller said that he would like to help mold that into a Nashville- or Memphis-type vibe in the Main Street downtown area.
The first Sunset Session will be on Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. on the Band Shell next to the Fort Rotary Playground at Craighead Forest Park, 4910 S. Culberhouse Road. Featured musicians for this session include Aaron Burcham, the Delta Canyon Band, and Coe Brock.
Jonesboro’s MC Niffy will also be working the mic throughout the show.
Miller said he is still looking for food vendors to set up for the shows. Food vendors will be set up near the Band Shell.
“The big takeaway from it all is just me trying to do my part to bring the music and the community together,” Miller said. “The bonus is we get to do it at a beautiful park at the best time of day as the sunset sets the mood.”
