Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Jan. 8, 2025 – The Salvation Army of Jonesboro needs gently used blankets and pillows, as well as other supplies.
“We have a great need for blankets,” Salvation Army Capt. Charles Smith said. “We have some, but not enough to cover the additional cots in our overnight warming center. It doesn’t matter if they are throw blankets or twin blankets, as well as pillows, these items help those that come in off the street to have a little extra comfort as they sleep in our overnight warming center.”
These items will continue to be used for the organization’s Emergency Shelter when temperatures rise above freezing, and the group does not have a need for the overnight warming shelter, Smith added.
