Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 24, 2024 – According to a Jonesboro Police Report, a 36-year-old male contacted the police in relation to his daughter reportedly being raped by her friend’s father.

The report lists 45-year-old John Walton as the sole suspect.

The probable cause affidavit states: On 7-21-24, a parent contacted Jonesboro Police about his daughter being sexually assaulted by a friends father. The parent stated that his 13 year old daughter had told him that while at a friends house her dad came into the bathroom and sexually assaulted her. [Details redacted]. The victim then stated that Walton’s wife then barged into the bathroom and got them separated the then shoved Walton into the bathtub. The victim then said that she left the bathroom and talked to Walton’s wife and told her what happened and she was later picked up by her mother.

During his probable cause hearing, Walton told the Judge that he is the father of six children and has a wife.

Judge Boling mentioned that Walton had a history (whether convicted or not) of three prior arrests, two of which were sexual in nature.

Boling also ordered a no contact order between him and the victim, as well as any non-biological children under the age of 18.

Walton was given a $1 Million c/s bond.

His next court date is August 23.

Walton’s son, Gabriel, was convicted of first degree murder for the death of Ronald Voyles in 2020 and convicted of Arson in 2018.
