Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – May 9, 2024 – A 62-year-old Connecticut woman was victimized by someone in Jonesboro 11 times in early January.
The complainant on all of the reports is a 28-year-old woman from New Haven, Connecticut, with the same last name as the victim, who is also from New Haven.
The reports detail the use of the victim’s bank card to the tune of $2,627.44 in charges.
The report said the card was used while the suspect was incarcerated. Three of the charges were on jailatm.com.
According to Sally Smith, public information specialist with the Jonesboro Police Department, the master report states that the suspect and victim were incarcerated at the Craighead County Detention Center together. When the suspect was released, she was asked by the victim to obtain property belonging to her and deliver it to her daughter. It appears the suspect made transactions at various locations throughout Jonesboro and Paragould.
Items charged were for cash, a hotel room, expedia.com, online, and retail purchases.
The suspect is described as a 37-year-old woman.
