Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — July 28, 2025 — The Jonesboro Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred Monday.
JPD public information official Sally Smith told JRN that officers responded to a reported stabbing incident around 11:50 a.m. at a home on the 500 block of Melton Circle. There, officers found a woman with multiple stab wounds to her head, and she was taken to an area hospital for treatment. There’s currently no word on her condition.
The suspect, 25-year-old Shelby Scriber, was taken into custody at the Craighead County Detention Center, according to online jail records, and is awaiting a probable cause hearing.
