The suspect’s 78-year-old husband is also listed as a victim.
Police seized two handguns and two rifles at the scene.
The caregiver suffered small abrasion around her neck from being choked, according to the Jonesboro police report.
According to Officer Keith Baggett’s report, “Dispatch had received a call from a female who said she was a caregiver for one of the residents and that she was just physically assaulted by the wife of the resident and that the wife was in possession of a handgun.”
Copeland was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and abuse of adults/serious injury or substantial risk of death, both felonies, and misdemeanor third-degree battery.
This isn’t her first run-in with Police. In February, Copeland’s neighbor called police after he said she fired two shots at trees in her back yard. Police told her it was against the law to shoot a firearm inside of the city limits, according to that police report.
