As part of the birthday celebration, JRN gave away $365 cash — a dollar for each day JonesboroRightNow.com has been live. Readers searched current articles for a birthday cake image and then clicked on it to enter. The giveaway began on Wednesday, April 2 and concluded on Sunday, April 6.
“It was very exciting,” Martin said. “It was really awesome, I’ve never, I don’t think I’ve ever won a prize this large.”
She added that this was the first time she’d seen her name on such a large check. She said seeing her name on it felt like “winning the lottery.” Martin has been reading JRN since it launched.
