Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 30, 2024 – With Halloween coming up and rain heading into the area tomorrow morning, many local events are staying on schedule, however, there have been a couple changes. Here is an updated list for your family.

The Mayor’s Youth Advancement Council announced that Boo in the ‘Boro was canceled due to weather. However, it will be joining forces with the Jonesboro Police Department at the JPD Trunk or Treat tonight 6-7:30 p.m. at the corner of Matthews Avenue and Union Street, in downtown Jonesboro. This free public event features fun, food, candy, toys, games, music and dancing. There will also be contests and prizes for best dancer, best costume, and more.

Additionally, Holidays for the Cure’s Halloween Night will now have two shows. According to the founder Jon Seale, they have added a preview night for those that can’t attend tomorrow night. The tours will be running from 6-10 p.m. on both Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 at 1400 West Monroe Ave. in Jonesboro. This event, honoring Jonesboro native Brooke Landrum, who died from breast cancer, features a unique and immersive display taking about 20 minutes. The show runs continuously all evening, and donations are welcome.

Other events still on schedule for tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 30) include:

First Church and First Youth’s Fall Festival 2024 will be from 5:30-7 p.m. at Jonesboro Overhead Door, 925 E. Parker Rd. This free event will be a night full of fun with face painting, candy, prizes, food, pumpkins for sale, a costume contest, inflatables, games and more.

Hondaween will be from 5-7 p.m.at Honda of Jonesboro, 3003 E. Parker Rd. This free event is a fun-filled trunk or treat event with good food, sweet candy, and plenty of Halloween spirit with the Honda crew.

As for Halloween day (Thursday, Oct. 31), most everything has remained the same, although the Refuge Church’s Blocktober may be moved indoors if rain continues into the evening. This free event will be from 5-8 p.m. at the Refuge Church, 1925 Wood St. in Jonesboro. It will feature corn dogs, games, bounce houses, and lots of candy.

Other events on Halloween include:

Jonesboro Overhead Door’s 5th annual Halloween Skele-bration, will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Jonesboro Overhead Door, 925 E. Parker Rd. It will feature their trunk or treat, photos taken under the Drewster Dragon pirate ship, hot dogs and popcorn, and Captain Jack O’ Lanterns Halloween Walk-through display.

Bonesy Jonesy’s Halloween Extravaganza, hosted by B & B Collections, will be from 5-7 p.m. at B & B Collections, 1301 Stone St. It will feature free candy for everyone. The first 100 kids get a goodie bag with free comics and more.

Pay-Less Furniture & Appliances’ Halloween Bash will be from 2:30-6 p.m. at both Jonesboro locations, including 909 E Johnson Ave. and 2803 Creek Dr. It will feature candy bags with one toy per child and a photo booth.

The Courtyard’s Trunk or Treat will be from 6-8 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott Jonesboro, 4811 East Johnson Avenue. This trunk or treat will feature Halloween games, candy galore, music, costumes, and more.

A-State’s Trunk or Treat will be from 5-7 p.m. in the Quapaw St. Parking Lot at the Windgate Center for Three Dimensional Arts on the Arkansas State University campus. This public event is hosted by A-State’s Art + Design Department, the Student Art Union, and Bradbury Art Museum. It will feature pumpkin decorating, face painting, snacks, warm apple cider, a kids crafts table, and a trunk-or-treat.
