Vonda Hudson of Jonesboro departed this life Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at NEA Baptist Hospital at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 19 days. She was born Tuesday, August 11, 1936 in Lake City, AR to the late Fred D and Marie Kilburn Cobb and lived in Jonesboro for over 50 years. She was a retired bookkeeper for Harvest Foods. Vonda graduated from ASU with a business degree, and was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church in Brookland.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Jim Pagan, Sr, 2nd husband, Jim Kellems; one son, Alan Pagan, one daughter, Ginia Lally, son-in-law Jerry Lally and one sister, Ruth Ann Peeler. She is survived by her husband, John Hudson of the home; two sons, James Pagan, Jr., of Trumann, Nathan (Brenda) Hudson of Enid, OK; two daughters, Sherry (Joe) Moody of Trumann and Johnita (Milton) Brewer of Stuttgart, AR; three brothers, Jim (Louise) Cobb of Collierville, TN and Glenn (Esther) Cobb and brother-in-law, Terry Peeler of Jonesboro; one sister, Jean (David) Craig of Jonesboro; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Aidan Thompson, Cole Thompson, Lee Thompson, Kyle Lally, Alex Lally and Tim Lawrence. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 – 1:00 at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Elmer Ash officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR.
