Virginia “Ginger” Lataine Swindle, 82, of Pocahontas passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born June 17, 1941 in Pocahontas to the late Marion Frank and Anna Lucille Reed Mathews.  Ginger worked as a land title researcher for Randolph County Abstract Company and was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Frank and Anna Lucille Mathews; husband, Tom Edd Swindle; and brothers, Cleatus Gene Mathews, Darrel Warren Mathews, and Kenneth Eugene “Sonny” Mathews.

Ginger is survived by her son, Thomas L. Swindle of Lake City; her daughter, Dawna Swindle Kerr of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Austin Kerr of Little Rock, Evan Kerr of Little Rock, Tiffany Lollar of Kimberly, AL, and Chelsea Martin of Pocahontas; four great grandchildren, Rylee Ann Lollar, Kami Lee Lollar, Hattie Ann Martin, and Hannah Claire Martin, and many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 10 AM at Masonic Cemetery with Nelson Henderson officiating under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
