Veraunda Mae Gramling (Farley) passed away peacefully on February 22, leaving behind a loving family who adored her. Veraunda was born in Greene County and was raised in the community of Stanford.
Throughout her life, Veraunda played many roles with grace and dedication. As a homemaker, she created a loving space for her family to flourish. In addition to her time spent in the home, she worked the X-ray department at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center helping countless individuals.
A faithful member of Stanford Baptist Church, Veraunda found strength in her faith and congregation.
Veraunda cherished spending time with her family, who affectionately knew her as Nanny or Great Nanny. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought joy to her life, and she treasured her time spent with them.
Veraunda was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Farley, her mother, Texie Farley, her husband, Lindy Gramling, her daughter, Jill Wells, her brothers, Wilborn Farley, Lawrence Farley, Dean Farley and Acqulin Farley, her sisters, Justine Rowland and Jan Parsons, and her daughter-in-law, Amanda Gramling.
She is survived by her son, Steve Gramling, her grandchildren, Selena (Karl) Horton, Sarah (Andy) Runyan, Stephanie Sellers, Alex (Christy) Gramling, her great-grandchildren, Garrett Horton, Karabeth (Lee) Dunavant, Al Horton, Derek Runyan, Jase Runyan, Pippa Runyan, Ethan Gramling, Maizey Sellers, Henry Gramling, her great-great-grandchildren Miles Dunavant, Lindy Mae Dunavant, her son-in-law, Jim Wells, and many nieces and nephews.
Veraunda will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 27, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. for a graveside service at Union Grove Cemetery with Bro. Nathan Gramling and Bro. Marion Gramling officiating.
Andy Runyan, Derek Runyan, Karl Horton, Lee Dunavant, Alex Gramling, and Ethan Gramling will serve as pallbearers.
