Dispatch pinged her phone and determined that she was near the intersection. Police made their way to the area ready to deal with a crisis intervention.

The Jonesboro Police Department has approximately 150+ officers that are certified Crisis Intervention Team trained. They participate in a 40-hour training and specialize in interactions with citizens who are experiencing mental health crisis.

CIT officers responded to the call ready to interact with the subject under the assumption that she was experiencing a mental health episode. When they arrived, the subject told them that she had called 911 multiple times today because she believed a vampire was attacking her mother and she was worried about her.

Officers spoke with the subject and determined she was not a threat to herself or anyone else, and attempted to convince her that the vampires were not a threat.

She was cited for Harassing Communications and let go.
