Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The University of Arkansas Centers on Aging Northeast will host a safety event for seniors next week.
During this free event, the center will partner with Senior Medicare Patrol and St. Bernards to help seniors stay safe, healthy, and independent. Older adults, caregivers, and family members are invited to attend.
The event will feature speakers, including representatives from AARP, Senior Medicare Patrol, and St. Bernards Senior Health Clinic. K8 Chief Meteorologist Ryan Vaughan and Jonesboro Fire Department Capt. JW White will also speak.

For the first 75 people to RSVP, free breakfast and lunch will be provided. Breakfast is provided by Southern Caregivers, and Eli Health is providing lunch from Doughbelly BBQ. Door prizes will be given out, and several vendors will be present.
Registration is required for this event, and spots are limited. Spots can be reserved by calling 866-726-2916 or by emailing AID.Insurance.SMP@arkansas.gov.
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. People can come and go as their schedule allows. It will be hosted in St. Bernards Auditorium, located at 505 E. Washington Ave.
