Fayetteville, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 25, 2024 – Students from Jonesboro were awarded scholarships this fall from the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas.

More than $4.9 million in scholarships was awarded through 1,855 scholarships to students in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas this year. These scholarships are made possible by the support of donors, who include alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Fulbright College, and aid students across the college’s four academic disciplines: arts, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences.

“Fulbright College is committed to supporting our students in every way possible and in all aspects of their college experience,” said Brian E. Raines, dean of Fulbright College. “We are grateful for the generosity of the college’s friends and supporters, whose contributions empower us to provide the tools and resources our students need to thrive.”

The following students received scholarships:

  • Ella Layton of Jonesboro was awarded the Davis P. Richardson Endowed Scholarship.
  • Amaria Davis of Jonesboro was awarded the Frances Greer and Herman Harrison Hankins Endowed Scholarship.
  • Eric Seglem of Jonesboro was awarded the George D. Lingelbach Memorial Scholarship.
  • Keyvashia Brown of Jonesboro was awarded the Judith Ann McAdams DeRoeck Endowed Scholarship.
  • Mitchell Pruitt of Jonesboro was awarded the Kimberly G. Smith Memorial Scholarship.
  • Allison Shinabery of Jonesboro was awarded the Paul and Beth Gaylo Scholarship.

“Helping our students reach their highest potential is our top priority, and we’re thankful to have the opportunity to celebrate their hard work and the achievements they’ve reached here at Fulbright College and the University of Arkansas,” Raines said.

This fall’s scholarships are made possible from the support of donors, who include alumni, faculty, staff and friends of Fulbright College, and aid students as part of the commitment to student success.

“Supporting our students requires a comprehensive approach in all aspects of their college experience,” Raines said. “Our work to do this would not be possible without the generosity of our Fulbright College friends and supporters.
