Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Dec. 16, 2024 – Two women were given bonds of $500,000 and $1 million for drug charges.
Jonesboro police were contacted by a parole officer on Dec. 15, who said 38-year-old Delilah Davis, of Jonesboro, had been in Little Rock that day and was headed back to Jonesboro, according to her ankle monitor. Davis is on active parole.
Davis is “known to be involved in the sale and trafficking of methamphetamine,” and has been arrested several times lately. Officers suspected her Little Rock trip was for drug activity, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Officers found Davis’s vehicle on Southwest Drive, where they watched it veer over the white line on the road. Officers conducted a traffic stop as the vehicle turned into the Walmart on Parker Road.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Davis is known to flee in vehicles and discard evidence. Due to the heavy foot traffic in the area, officers immediately asked Davis to step out, as well as her passenger, 33-year-old Sierra Williams of Searcy, AR. Williams is also a parolee.
Officers searched the vehicle and found suspected 23 fentanyl pills in Williams’s purse. They also found a small bag of suspected meth and a meth pipe in her bra. When officers field-tested the pills, they tested positive for meth and fentanyl.
In the vehicle’s center console, officers found a “one-hitter” with marijuana inside. A “one-hitter” is a small pipe containing about a hit’s worth of marijuana.
Davis disclosed that she had a “large amount of drugs in her pants.” She said Williams forced her to put the drugs in her pants at knifepoint, but officers did not find a blade in Williams’s possession. Officers then found a bag of suspected meth weighing 147.4 grams in Davis’s pants.
Davis is charged with possession of meth or cocaine greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Williams is charged with trafficking of fentanyl, possession of meth or cocaine less than two grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davis was given a $500,000 cash or surety bond and must wear a GPS ankle monitor if she makes bond. Williams was given a $1 million cash or surety bond and must also wear an ankle monitor if she makes bond.
Both women have a court date of Jan. 24, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. and are being held in the Craighead County Detention Center.
