Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) — April 21, 2025 — Jonesboro Police responded to a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries on Monday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. at the corner of Union Street and Huntington Avenue in downtown Jonesboro.

According to JPD officers Dustin McKenzie and Dustin Mitchell, who were on scene, a silver car was traveling west on Huntington Avenue when it struck a white SUV heading south on Union Street. The car then continued into the north wall of the Vibe Interior, causing minor damage to the building, the officers said.

The driver of the car said they ran the red light, which was also reported by eyewitnesses and captured by the light’s video surveillance camera.

The driver of the SUV and both the driver and passenger of the car were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.

“Everybody’s going to be all right. There was no serious injury,” McKenzie said. “They got lucky, they didn’t get more damage to the building.”

Both cars were towed from the scene.
