Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 8, 2024 – Men involved in a weekend shooting in September were identified and charged Monday.

On Sept. 28, Jonesboro police officers were dispatched to Cedar Heights Drive after a call came in about several people firing several guns at a passing vehicle.

Detectives used video footage to get an idea of what took place. A group of suspects, including two men known to officers as Charles Williams and Rickey Harris, gathered in an empty lot. Then, in the video, officers saw most of the suspects put on face coverings, walk toward a vehicle that was driving by and open fire at it.

Williams, who was wearing a white bathrobe, was not seen with a firearm in the video. Neither was Harris. Officials positively identified them with the group as they huddled together and as they approached the vehicle with multiple weapons drawn.

On that basis, officials believe they knew what was about to happen and they were likely part of the planning of the incident. Both were arrested and charged with committing a terroristic act. Williams was given a $25,000 c/s bond and the bond for Harris was $75,000 c/s. Their court date is set for Nov. 14 at 8:30 a.m.
