Trudie Speer, whose life journey began on January 12, 1943, in Bragg City, Missouri, completed her earthly chapter on May 26, 2024, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Trudie’s existence was a tapestry woven with the threads of generosity, talent, and unwavering care for her beloved family and friends. Her departure, due to natural causes, marks not an end but a transition to an eternal legacy that will continue to inspire and guide.

Born into the family of Theodore and Drace Elliott, Trudie’s early years in Missouri laid the foundation for a life characterized by love and creativity.

Her union with Gerald Speer, now both united in eternal peace, blossomed into a family tree that stands strong through their daughters and sons-in-law, Annece (Steve) Bailey, and Gayle (Terry) Lovelace, her grandchildren, Amanda (Ashanti) Habersham, Hayden (Kate) Lovelace, and Jayme (Marlee) Lovelace and her great-grandchildren, Kylen Clark, Daxton Habersham, and Hudsen Lovelace.

 

She was preceded in death by her siblings Linda Grantham, Sheila Wiles, Ted Elliott, Jim Elliott, Jerry Elliott and Ron Elliott.

Trudie’s professional life was an extension of her creative soul. An accomplished seamstress, her custom designs graced many homes, each stitch a testament to her passion . Her work wasn’t merely a job; it was an expression of her generous spirit, making the world a more beautiful place one fabric at a time.
