Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – May 28, 2024 – A Jonesboro man is being held on a quarter-million dollar bond after a judge found probable cause to charge him with three felonies and two misdemeanors.

Jordan Jamal Barrett, 27, of Monroe Avenue is charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, a class Y felony, possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with the purpose to deliver and possession of marijuana with the purpose to deliver, both class D felonies. He is also charged with misdemeanor tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Barrett was pulled over by Jonesboro police after midnight on Sunday at the intersection of Burke Avenue and Nisbett Street for not having insurance.

Barrett was found to be in possession on an AR-15 with a 30-round magazine, electronic scales and more than 200 grams of marijuana.

Special Judge Barbara Halsey found probable cause to charge Barrett with the felonies and misdemeanors.

Barrett’s next court date is June 26 in Craighead County Circuit Court.
