Tommy Gene Schales, aged 69, of Reyno, passed away on October 24, 2024, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. Born on March 19, 1955, in Newport to the late Dewey “Junior” Schales and Dora Arnold Schales, Tommy was raised in the Old Glaise Community. He was an ordained Pentecostal Minister and a dedicated farmer. Tommy had a passion for music, flying drones, and engaging in conversations on his CB Radio. He cherished his family deeply and was beloved by all who knew him.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Norma Schales; his granddaughter, Bailey Cotty; and his brothers, David “Butch” McCormack and Billy Schales.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Ballard Schales; his children, Bill (Mindy) Easton of Washington, Connie (James) Baker of Bay, Tina (Joey) Greer of Horseshoe Bend, Michael Schales of Bay, Scotty (Tina) Schales of Batesville, Pennie (Leonard) Cotty of Trumann, and Heather (Ben) Johnson of Hoxie; twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Judy Brimer and Patsy Tims of Jonesboro, and Debbie Barnes of Oklahoma, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2024, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Dub Holt, at the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will take place at 3:00 PM in the Oakland Hill Cemetery at Possum Grape, AR.
