Tiger Correctional Services of Jonesboro filed suit in Craighead County Circuit Court on Friday against Thomas M. Glathar of Edmond, OK, accusing him of breach of contract and other misdeeds, according to court documents.
Glathar worked for Tiger from 2016 until February 23 as a territory sales manager and senior solutions advisor.
Tiger provides food and commissary services and software products to jails and prisons around the country. The lawsuit says that Tiger became aware in March that Glathar is employed as an account manager by Benchmark Government Solutions, which is based in Oklahoma City and is a competitor of Tiger’s.
Glathar signed a non-compete agreement upon his employment with Tiger, barring him from working for a competitor. The suit states that by working for Benchmark, Garthar violated the terms of his agreement and is seeking an immediate injunction barring him from working for Benchmark.
The lawsuit alleges that Garthar, prior to his termination by Tiger on February 23, began to reach out to Tiger customers on Benchmark’s behalf. Tiger says this violates the non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality clauses of the signed agreement.
No monetary amount was included in the suit.
