Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – July 19, 2024 – Jonesboro Police were sent to a home on State Street on Wednesday to make contact with a man who stated that several thousand dollars was stolen from him.

Upon arrival, police made contact with the 30-year-old subject who told them that over $21,000 had been stolen from his CashApp card.

The police report states that the subject was “very erratic in behavior and made rapid statements that did not make coherent sense.” Also, the subject showed the officer locations of ATMs all over Jonesboro where the withdrawals supposedly took place, but was unable to provide any actual transaction history or proof of stolen funds.

Additionally, the subject doesn’t actually have a physical CashApp card. He claimed that only the card numbers were stolen from his account and used to obtain the money from the ATMs.

The case was listed as inactive by JPD pending any new leads or evidence.
