Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Fall is bringing all the fun of Halloween to Jonesboro as the Foundation of Arts (FOA) prepares for its new and improved House of Villains walkthrough.

The FOA said that families can expect to laugh and cheer as they get up close and personal with a variety of kooky characters inside the Forum Theater.

Promising no tricks and only treats, the experience is suitable for all ages.

The walkthrough features distinct theme areas populated by famous faces from pop culture, such as Beetlejuice, the Joker, and of course, some undead performers dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” choreography.

To help keep foot traffic flowing smoothly between these different worlds, the FOA said theater ushers will be stationed throughout the venue to assist with directions.

For residents wanting to be part of the scare, auditions are just around the corner.

In-person auditions will be held in the Studio Room at The Arts Center (328 S. Main St.) on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon, and Sunday, Sept. 13, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The FOA said actors only need to attend one of the days, and while the minimum age is 13, the director reserves the right to cast younger actors if necessary. Dialogue excerpts will be taught at the auditions, so nothing needs to be memorized ahead of time.

If an actor cannot attend in person, they can send a video audition to sewingdisorder1536@gmail.com by Friday, Sept. 11. Those cast in the production will attend a mandatory meeting and table read on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and are asked to pay a $45 tax-deductible production fee, which can be waived in cases of financial hardship.

Tickets for the House of Villains go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 22. The walkthrough will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24, and then from Wednesday, Oct. 28, through Friday, Oct. 30.
